I will provide an example to help you better understand the process of developing IETMs.Let’s assume you have to send an electrical wiring diagram to your client. What should you do?

First, you open AutoCAD, design it, and save it as a.dwg file, which serves as the source file. You won’t share the source file because the recipient might update or edit the file, or they might not have AutoCAD software to open it.

Therefore, convert the drawing to a PDF and share it with them, ensuring they can only view it without editing access.

Assume, in another scenario, that you want your recipient to edit the file. So, you share the file with your client, but they cannot edit it because they may not have AutoCAD software installed on their PC.
